Corrections policy

Challenge the record with evidence.

Readers, subjects, and sources can report factual errors through the same public mailbox used for all Layer North correspondence.

Submit a correction

Email contact@layernorth.com with the subject Correction. Please include:

  • The URL of the page concerned.
  • The exact passage or data point you believe is wrong.
  • Why it is wrong and what the corrected information should say.
  • Primary records or other reliable supporting evidence.
  • Your relationship to the subject, where relevant.

Do not send private keys, seed phrases, passwords, or unrelated sensitive personal information.

How requests are assessed

We compare the challenged statement with the cited source, the evidence supplied, and other relevant records. We may ask for clarification or seek comment from people materially affected. A request does not guarantee that content will be removed or changed.

A verifiable factual error is different from a reasonable disagreement about analysis, risk weighting, or editorial judgment. When evidence supports more than one reasonable interpretation, we may retain the conclusion while clarifying the evidence, uncertainty, or competing view.

What receives a public note

A material correction receives a dated note explaining what changed. Material corrections include changes that alter a reader's understanding of a central fact, conclusion, risk, or conflict disclosure. Spelling, grammar, formatting, and broken-link maintenance may be corrected without a change-log entry when meaning is unaffected.

Correction record

Material corrections recorded under this policy will be listed on the affected page or in a public record linked from this page. The record will identify the date and substance of the change without unnecessarily republishing personal information.

Other requests

Privacy requests, takedown demands, and legal notices use the same email address but are handled according to their own basis. Use the subject Privacy or Legal notice instead of Correction. See Privacy and Contact for details.
